FAQs
Before starting any project we’ll hop on a consultation call where you’ll be able to ask any questions you have, but here are some quick answers that may help before then!
-
We collect information from you before the project through a brand questionnaire and Pinterest board so that we get an idea of what you like & envision, but then we use our expertise to curate fonts, colours and layouts for the primary and secondary logo. It's a collaborative process but we create the designs and provide direction.
-
The process is two weeks long and there are four rounds of feedback. On the first Tuesday we provide a style assessment presentation to establish our design direction. Then we provide three rounds of logo designs, round one on the first Friday, round 2 on the next Tuesday, and round 3 on the second Friday.
-
Once you complete your proposal, we will send you your project portal that lays out your pre-project tasks and the project schedule. You’ll need to complete a brand questionnaire and provide a link to a Pinterest board by at least one week before your project start date. These two things help us fully understand your business and vision before providing our input.
-
Once the project starts, we have a kick-off call on the Monday, and after that I send each presentation through email with a video recording and PDF. We don’t need to worry about scheduling any review meetings as the video presentations allow you to watch on your own time, rewatch and think about your feedback. We provide feedback forms to fill out after each presentation, which should take 15-30 minutes to fill out depending on how fast you are with providing notes.
-
My goal is to provide each client with useful assets through an efficient process without additional fluff or expense. In my experience, most businesses benefit most from having two logo options and a brand mark because they know what specific situations they would use each of them in. If there are additional logo layouts needed, we can discuss adding in another variation, but having more than three logo options isn’t always necessary if you don’t know how and where you’ll use them.
-
Font licensing is not included in the project fee, however it is not required that we use paid fonts. You will be asked in your brand questionnaire if you’re open to seeing paid font options or not. During each presentation we will outline whether the fonts being used are free or require payment, and how much they cost depending on the license.
